I have known @pmddomingos for ages and respect him as a researcher. He is a contrarian who compulsively questions the orthodoxy, and in doing so quite often sheds unexpected light on longstanding problems. Every conversation I have had with him has been unfailingly stimulating.

Hi Anima--please note that I just spoke about his research views. I never had conversations with him about social issues outside of research. I don't agree with anyone on everything. Fwiw, I share many of your concerns (although clearly I don't have your experiences). Peace.
Thanks for your clarification. Given all discussion around his social views don't you think it is amiss to tweet only about his research capabilities? It sends a message that is the only thing that matters. Disappointed to see a distinguished leader like you take that stance.
