.@pmddomingos if you are so worried about slippery slope of censorship at @NeurIPSConf where was all your hysterics when @timnitGebru got fired from @GoogleAI after her paper was censored. Your hypocrisy is so transparent!

As you know, Timnit's paper was not censored - it would be published either way - and she was not fired. Rather, if you trash your company's efforts in your area and threaten to resign, you shouldn't be surprised if they let you.

Imagine...black students and women having to learn from this piece of work? And we wonder why the tech field is so toxic?!! They literally hired her to make sure that their "efforts" is ethical and doesn't cause harm. She was doing her job !

She was creating a toxic environment within Google AI. Just read the diatribe she sent her group.
