  I’m pretty sure they’re not using AI. Perhaps a moving sample size of Twitter mobile users zooming in on features. Even that, too complex. All they had to do was ask the user to position the center point of the photo. But yes, totally outrageous.

  Are they not just always showing the maximum amount of pixels that fit, starting from the bottom? I just did a quick scroll through my feed and that certainly seems to be the case, regardless of image content...
