Those advising me to leave hate behind : trump was a litmus test. For minorities in tech this will give a good filter. I am open to anyone who changes their mind and apologizes. Otherwise I will assume they are not yet reformed

I agree with you. My guess is that if you have many colleagues who are or were Trump supporters, it is possibly greed that motivated their poor decision. I believe you pointed out an example a few days ago.
Greed? I don't know anyone who is doing better off under #45's administration. Especially in California where the SALT caps mean we can no longer write off all our property taxes. His tax changes capped mortgage interest, too. I don't call that winning.
I think it is dishonest from people who literally just voted for 4 more years of hate to suddenly demand others to 'stop the hate', that is forget, just because they lost. There are things people can do to make up for this, hiding behind 'love for humanity' is not one of them.
