I agree that the view is toxic, and it sounds quite Feynman-ish, but is Feynman not referring to Wolfram's view of ordinary people rather than his own?

Exactly. As I read it, from this letter one cannot conclude that Feynman himself thinks any human is "ordinary"

That is terrible behaviour. I didn't know about that when I commented It seems orders of magnitude worse than this advice. The way I read it he is reminding his friend (privately, and in a v arrogant way) that he might be happier doing more science and less admin
