Oh I see your point. Especially at that time there was a lot of injustice for women. Noether was so impressive that she was noticed quite early in her career, by Hilbert and Klein, then by Einstein (but probably she had to fight 10x as compared to male mathematicians, I agree..)

Noether’s father, “one of the finest mathematicians of the nineteenth century”, was a full professor in mathematics at the university where she got her degree(s?). She then worked at (the same?) a Uni in the same town without pay for 7 years. Then Hilbert recognized her. 1/
