wouldn't a viable strategy be to do research to mitigate these sources of biases (which I think majorly come from the data itself) rather than outright rejecting every major milestone in AI/DL/ML? Also, how is GPT-3 AI bias harmful to certain groups or individuals?

We have no choice but to examine the biases and correct them. However, are businesses responsible enough? If you get denied credit, what's your appeal? How do we know how the model's bias was unfairly detrimental to you?
