I am disappointed that @ralfgommers blocked @lpachter who is an outspoken advocate of #DiversityandInclusion it is problematic that all the 26 authors are male. The right thing to do is admit this is an issue and pledge to create a more welcoming and inclusive community
@AnimaAnandkumar thank you for chiming in, I respect your opinion on this topic. I don't know Lior, but have been told that he is trolling. And that does seem the case from his thread. It's infuriating to see a Caltech prof with bad takes disparage volunteers to his followers.
Rather than reach out. Many women have asked genuine questions in good faith. He does not, he just accuses. Pretty appalling. I have a right to block such trolling. We are preparing a blog post to address the real issues and concerns around diversity.

I don't know @lpachter, but a 21k follower professor directing all their followers at a 300 follower volunteer is problematic in its own right, imho.
