Leaders enable & normalize this behavior and hen talk about ethics. A MILA prof shared this video and THEN had the nerve to lecture students about "nonviolent communication" in the context of BLM protests. The context being that protestors need to learn "nonviolent communication"

Reminds me of Fox news saying "Martin Luther King wouldn't have approved" to Black people today because they're the ones who would know.

Genuinely asking out of curiosity, but when did he bully anyone? I have seen him talking about the subject matter and not attacking anyone personally. I don't claim to follow and know the whole story so if he did I would be interested in knowing.

Issue is he restrict the problem to the choice of a dataset. It is a myopic view. Never does he, or many others, discuss how a biased model was released in the wild and how to prevent that. The video even argues for releasing biased models at the end.

A public debate deserves a proper way of speaking. Your way of talking about
@ylecun is not tolerable. I don't understand how so many people liked that comment.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

To clarify, all the opinions came from some random YouTuber and *comments* on that channel, and in no way from
@ylecun himself. But this somehow makes him a "mafia godfather"??Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo
