The major problem is that even running the model independently is outside the reach of most academic labs. So, I being a fairness researcher cannot even test the model to the fullest extent I want to.

I've honestly never considered a career in technology too seriously, but if I did, it would absolutely be in some sort of "hey is this a good fucking idea???" review board position that probably doesn't exist. Because this shows a shocking lack of perspective and oversight.
