One community’s hero is often other community’s villian. Venerating Chruchill is not very different from the south venerating General Lee. Except that Churchill won.

Since history is written by the victors, we are unaware of the failings of our most celebrated heroes. The prior that our heroes lived speckless lives is rapidly diminished. We should try to be better than them, yet what future generations will think of us is also predictable.
