1/TBH I had an awful experience at @venturebeat Transform event last year. I was asked to moderate a session with only one participant. I was told not to share any of my experiences on how to build research teams. Names of all moderators (almost all women) never appeared on apphttps://twitter.com/kharijohnson/status/1269013994037063680 …

2/ After my session, founder of
@VentureBeat made a remark that he was wondering who is this woman who is speaking a lot. Yes, so rare! Because we are not given opportunity to do that. My session had Bharath Kadaba from@Intuit who gracious decided to make it conversational1 reply 1 retweet 5 likesShow this thread -
3/ I wrote an email to the founder of
@VentureBeat asking why all moderators were women and why they were left out of App. His response was that they could not find female speakers at last minute. Wow! I asked him to consult@WiMLworkshop and have everyone nominate women1 reply 1 retweet 10 likesShow this thread
4/ This happened in a year that @VentureBeat was claiming to honor #womenintech I saw only a few women in the reception, huddled by themselves and conveniently being ignored by everyone else except me. I was thinking it is better not to invite women to such an awful toxic event.
