I am disappointed how few women speakers are represented at @dscongress poster. Also please refuse to participate in an event that elevates Sophia fake bot to a higher status than female speakers. It just did. I cannot be part of this shameful event
Why isn't #bina48 there as well? They're both #CleverHans glorified chatbots IMO, but #bina48 seems so much more inclusive, no?
I agree that #bina48 is more diverse but why are all these bots female and all creators male?? You put a female bot as one of female speakers in the poster. It's shameful. I am sick of all female bots and voice assistants that raise expectations to be controllable and subservient
I agree with this, let’s work towards real deal AI in the most inclusive manner possible. East and West make one philosophy meant to be integrated among all people. There are many modalities that hold knowledge across cultures and underrepresentation of humanity is very dangerous
Agree on both points. (1) #manels are not ok (2) make AI fair and inclusive (ref. Sophia the fake bot) And thanks for bringing them up. About time. I will be more forceful and proactive in the future. @dscongress - you will not have my support unless you fix this right away.
(1) is made even more reprehensible in this case by bringing Sophia, the bot, into the speaker lineup ahead of so many eminent women data scientists and AI engineers across the world. Blatantly ignoring every call for diversity to make AI fair and inclusive. #responsibleAI
