      Let's dissect the problem into the ideal vs real world. Musk's contribution is in conceiving the company and following up with the bluster/BS that is needed to keep it going. Shotwell actually conceives of what needs to be done and gets it done amazingly well.

      In the ideal world (the one we we strive for) Shotwell should get most of the credit. In the real world (in which we live in and are celebrating accomplishments therein), I think it belongs to both of them. We don't have to put one against the other in either of the worlds.

      I completely agree that misogyny and sexism is rampant and is at play here. My original (and current) point was actually that she deserves a lot more credit than she is getting (50x more :), but that we don't have to be antagonistic towards Musk

          Well.. you and I seem to have been talking about different things. I was talking about the misogyny against women in general and you're talking about Musk's misogyny. He has some bad qualities, but I didn't think that was one of them. I googled and found the "red pill" comment..
