I'd love to see a more thoughtful attempt to listen and engage with the issues rather than an outright rejection without any attempt to understand. Supporting the gatekeeping status quo is bad for science, at a time when we need to be improving our processes.
It's fine for people like you with very high status backgrounds. But most people don't have that.
