Question to #AI / #Statistics researchers who have both #industry and #academia experience: which of the two would you choose if you had a(nother) chance and why?
Thankfully I don't have to choose. I see pros and cons in both. Academia gives a lot of freedom but resources can be limited. Industrial research can better exploit engineering help and latest developments. I am working to bridge that gap.

It's great that you're working on both fronts! I had romanticised academia before starting a PhD and now I see value in industry as well (though I m still biased towards Academia :) )
