Agree w the premise but not the method. Using images without consent is wrong, even if it’s to make a good point. We aren’t above the standards we set for others.

I do agree. Although I come from a tradition of activism where who uses a tool is as important as the tool being used. That is: how does that facial recog system changes the power landscape? If using it gave power back to oppressed people, I'd be ok. 1/2

This is where proactive regulations and policy advocacy is needed, unfortunately we do not have many scientists/engineers in these roles either, less so women.
