I understand your point, but I disagree with it. Power dynamics are not fake if they have real consequences. That doesn't mean they can't be changed however, and I think that gets closer to your actual point: (1/2)
I have blocked the troll. Thank you for your allyship but we can save our energy. It doesn't look like any amount of convincing will change his mind

I don't think he's a troll. He means well. I get where he's coming from and have been in a position similar to his several times in the past. Sometimes you say something that seems reasonable to you only for everyone around you to take offense to it.

This guy seems hurt that what he says is upsetting people. That's why he took the effort of typing it all out, in the hopes of making that more difficult. An actual troll would thrive on upsetting people.
