      Thanks. There is no evaluation of mode collapse in the whole paper. You have been vocal against hyping results, which I respect, so I was surprised to see you make a statement that is not reflected by the results in your paper. Thank you for sending the reference.

      Thank you for clarifying it. Twitter is not easiest medium to engage. Disagreements get escalated. I am not hyping up. Bad optimization methods in GANs lead to mode collapse. We have empirical evidence for this. There is even a nice video in slides with Gaussian mixtures.

          Since mode collapse is analogous to simply getting stuck in a type of local minimum in the particular case of a GAN, improvements in optimization method will certainly help. Needs systematic evaluation and study. I agree with both.
