We've extended the NeurIPS full paper deadline by 2 hours (to 3pm PT). Note that we haven't however reopened the submission of supplementary material, to reduce the load on CMT. We will provide an extension for that later.

This is rather surprising, considering how clearly a “no extension irregardless of server difficulties” policy had been stated on the website.

Well if CMT had just slowed down a bit, there wouldn't have been an extension... but it came to a point where it was just producing errors... that seemed like an exceptional enough situation to warrant an extension.

I personally don't know of any other conference management systems that have a better reputation than CMT and are known to scale to what we would have needed... do you?

Yes, but no other conferences are receiving 10k submissions. We should have a cloud based system with autoscaling
