Richard Feynman was my childhood hero. I was inspired by his autobiography but glossed over his views on women. Only after my personal adult experiences in academia, it hit me how terrible he must have been to women. The article is quite overblown and seem to be written as linkbait. I know of no women who stopped doing science because of Feynman but know quite a few who came to science because of him or his writings. Author here didn’t do her research and that’s truely disappointing.

I am not going to elaborate on facts that are already publicly available. Author should have found them and presented in balanced way but journalism these days is just strongly opinionated essays for what author already wants to believe. This is not say Feynman was free from bias
