.... We aren't defending it just because women attended. We are pointing out that the women *who attended* did not find the event sexist. People who applied to attend and were rejected- like yourself- have called it sexist. Empirical evidence comes from those who experienced it

It is possible such events are not sexist and exist so attendees may do the equivalent of virtue signaling to their peers. Replacing sexism with vulgarity and poor taste is hardly a marker of superior intellect. "I'm not sexist, I'm just an idiot," is hardly a great argument.
