I have blocked tens of trolls today. most obvious ones spew misogynistic hatred. others clothe it as a honest argument and will veer off in usual directions : men have nipples too (yeah dude and whose are objectified and made fun of) it is just a name (so let's change it!) blah.

Really disturbing and strange is their premise that minorities (women facing sexism in AI/ML) need majority support for their considerations to be taken into account. I mean it's 2018... 
Have you looked at the results? Even if you take women votes alone it is not as clear as decision as you make it to be - 44% for changing, 39% against and 17% in the middle. This does not mean they should not change the name, but please look at the actual results first.
