    The sound on LIGHTYEAR is *spectacular*. I wanted something that echoed the tangibility of sci-fi sounds of the past but was somehow fresh. The team delivered beyond ♾. Along w/the command of their craft, they’re extremely kind & collaborative. A dream come true.

    Pixar's Lightyear has revealed its sound team including 9-Time Oscar Nominee Ren Klyce (Mank, Fight Club, Star Wars films, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, The Social Network), Oscar Nominee Coya Elliott (Soul) and Emmy Winner Stephen Urata (The Mandalorian)

    From its inception, cinema has been a technology and art form of pushing limits: new tools used as soon as they exist to level-up on visual artistry and storytelling. Asking “what happened to the good ol’ days of artificially tying our hands to old technology” is pure ignorance.
