We need to quit conceding that CRT is being taught in public schools. Conservatives do this thing where they redefine words and then people use those definitions as if they are accurate. We gotta stop doing that. If your kid is learning CRT, your kid is in law/grad school.

Someone yesterday suggested not to use the abbreviation for Critical Race Theory because conservatives are trying to conflate it with Culturally Responsive Teaching. I think that is a wise suggestion.

I have a history degree, took several higher level U.S. history classes, and never discussed CRT outright as a concept. I did learn about the history of some of the components but that’s it.

I have a masters degree in anthropology and only studied anything like CRT because I took an entire course on critical theory. (Incredibly difficult class, may I add.) This is clearly not being taught to elementary school kids.
