Two year long cycle means two years of candidates asking for money. You shouldn’t need billions of dollars to run for office. It’s ridiculous. It’s great that regular folk donate, but we’re being asked literally every day to donate and some folks just can’t. It’s inefficient.

people are at each other’s throats for years on end over relatively minor policy differences when compared to what we are up against. And it doesn’t work in Democrats’ favor because we are a bigger tent and less prone to lock step authoritarianism.

So for two years, Democrats/liberals/progressives/socialists are at each others’ throats while Republicans are goosestepping against gays, guns, and abortion, as they say. I’d add gender nonconforming to that list, for extra alliteration.

It's so true. There is no reason that Presidential primaries aren't on the same day, except for dragging out polling, so political pundits can wax poetic on who is electable. We need non-voters to embrace our Democratic process, but it's exhausting in it's current form.

Soooo exhausting. Our reps are supposed to be, you know, representing us- in our absence. It would almost be easier for us all to gather in DC and shout out our desires en mass. Actually...
