    Nice positive electoral shift here, will be interesting to see if it stabilizes the closer we get to the election. It’s also important that we ignore the polls for all practical purposes and vote no matter how large our “lead” is.

    While it’s big that 62% of women & 57% of white college educated women say they won’t vote Trump in 2020, the more eye popping news is 53% of seniors, a group Trump won by 9 in 2016, saying the same. Major shift in electorate getting little attention

    Barr is clearly trying to avoid being questioned by the actual subject matter experts. Nadler said the witness won’t dictate the format of the hearing, so we’ll see where this goes from here. Should be interesting though.

    Barr has warned House Judiciary Dems that he won't show up to this week's hearing if they stick to the format Chairman Nadler has proposed for questioning. After members' questions, Nadler wants a round of questioning of 30 minutes for committee counsels.

    Yep. Trump is increasingly finding that fewer and fewer people with credibility are willing to defend him and his actions. It’s not going to get any better for him.

    “There is one faction of the Republican party that may be peeling off, ... and it’s [a] faction that Trump has been counting on .... I’m speaking of conservative lawyers, some of whom seem to feel a bit queasy about what they saw in the Mueller report and Trump’s reaction to it.”

    All with a decent economy and no crises that weren’t of his own making. That’s impressive. It’s also why I say the GOP will jump ship as soon as something happens to make the approval dip further. They’re already in a *really* bad position.
