In 2006, I walked into an ugly, poorly lit 2 bedroom on Nostrand Avenue in Brooklyn for $650,000 with drug dealers outside, a slanted floor, and cabinets that were hung incorrectly and didn't close. We walked out and I said, "what a fucking bubble!" Boy was I wrong

Ouch.. I have a similar story of renewing a lease for 2 years instead of buying.

I mean, I couldn't have bought that anyways. The funny one was that my wife tried to buy a very nice 1 BR in Prospect Heights for 79K in 2002...and the bank refused the loan because they assessed it at 58K.
