Plausible. But validating accuracy with some out-of-sample experimenting would be pretty easy if you had one of these tools in your hands.

My only firsthand (secondhand, tbh) experience is with voice ID, which was terrible at the time.

I remember some real sketchy stuff coming out of isreal about 5 years ago. Some Fin/Acct research based on it got published in top journals.

That's interesting. I don't know that I've heard about it. 99% of what's out there is psyops, though (again, based on my limited experience)
