FWIW, if I spend an entire day editing/proofreading truly nonstop, my brain is beyond fried at the end.

You definitely need to build in some redundancy for catching errors when driving that hard. (Extrapolating from my time in banking bullpen.)

Also in my experience it adds up in longer span than a week. I can sustain a few weeks at intense pace, but poor sleep, life style etc
