Like how would a University- that uses race as one of the factors in admissions- adjudicate the situation of when a white kid, who marked down African-American, shows up? Like what would the standard (picture?) would they be using to determine AA versus white?

I lived with an Indian (dot) family once. Their son was born while the family was living in Kenya because of the father's work. Put down African-American, got into Yale. (Though tbh he deserved it, the younger brother who had no such boon got into Cornell).

I’ve always selected black on every application/survey/test. Professor got really mad at me but admitted there’s really nothing anyone could do about it, self identification trumps all in bureaucracy I guess.
