Bojack Horseman is not a real tv show. I don't believe that it actually exists. I am convinced that it is a meme prank that I'm not in on, & I won't fall for it. I will not be owned & will never watch this purportedly real tv show & realize that I got dabbed on epic style.

Michael Goldstein @bitsteinMuch of beloved pop culture is really just low quality advertising for physical and social toxins. In the case of early children's television cartoons: sugary cereal, snacks, and beverages (and cigarettes). There's never been a "good" tv show. Television doesn't age like other forms like books and music age

There is exactly one show on this list that even has a chance of being remembered in 100 years. Can you, without stifling laughter, imagine your great grandchildren sitting down to watch the Sopranos?

That's the case for books music plays etc as well. When's the last time you listened to music from 1918?

Yes but people continue to watch Star Trek, The Twilight Zone, etc. I understand your skepticism of contemporary forms, but you go to far if you think that the superfluity of forgettable content isn't a constant thru history.

Of course. But take a decade like the 1950s-- we now have something close to a canon in film & music. There is absolutely nothing in that decade's TV that merits inclusion next to something like Night of the Hunter. You could do the same for the 40s, 60, 70s...

That's because the 50s for tv is like the 1890s for film duh
