In the year I was born there were only 1/3 as many humans on the planet. Everybody had 3x the elbow room, 3x the natural resources. Even in 1972 there were only 1/2 as many people as today. Of course things are stressed & cracking up.

It is taking very high debt and 1M new people a year to push the GDP needle a mere 1-2%. So it looks like the answer is yes.
