This is why we need a single payer
#healthcare system for all citizens. The#stress alone of mounting medical bills worsens your health. Imagine that stress coupled with age or infirmity? Sending Americans to early graves. -
Single-payer would be simpler, cost less and result in fewer medical bankruptcies. When you look at the details of how it would work,

RIP, Dr. Leon Lederman PhD. Lugubrious story but unfortunately not unusual in America today. In 2007, I helped paint the house of a widow who was flat broke after a long illness which killed her husband - he had Medicare! Healthcare is a human right, we must bring down costs.
