You know what it does for millennials like me? Absolutely nothing because it will cease to exist by the time we are old enough to receive it. We should not be subsidizing boomers.
As we celebrate #SocialSecurity’s 83rd birthday, let's remember what this program does for seniors, the disabled & families:
- 1 in 6 Americans receive benefits
- 2/3 of American seniors depend on the program
- Lifted 1.7 million children out of poverty in 2015
