My newest article Designing For The Last Earth is out. How do we as designers transition into a profession capable of actually helping save the last earth (this planet)? Because if we are not willing to or simply can't, we are in for a very bumpy ride 🧵

And now I purchased The Dawn of Everything ( & David Graeber) as an audiobook and I also have it as a physical copy and I cannot wait to create an audio-visual(?) experience enriched with notes, and thoughts, and stickies

- Company: We are a family here - Employees: Yey, then let’s stop doing performance reviews. And no layoffs! - Company: Well, no, not like that…

FYI the publication is independent, non-profit and we have built it painstakingly with personal effort and funds from our other community activities. Running communities is not easy 😅. And when I say we, I am and I.

Do y'all think there's enough philosophical theory of design (digital product design, service design, etc) as opposed to craft theory?

The educational part of the profession did wonders too! Instead of teaching critical theory in UX, decolonizing methods, systems thinking.. Instead of establishing new designers as a force to be reckoned with, they came up with teaching... craft fundamentals & tools.

So-called design leaders cried and screamed for designers to be more businessy for years! Then suddenly you get an assimilated profession running around like a headless chicken. At least we got many conferences to attend to, and medium articles to read.

Opening a can of worms here BUT!!! What's your favorite definition of User Experience? Context; going really back to basics to teach about UX to our support to catch UX issues like pros!
