No. For some people with disabilities, single use plastics are a godsend. Especially straws but only. With respect to straws, re-usable are hard to properly sanitize and many with disabilities have compromised immune systems.

Cassava-based plastics for food and drinks is the future and definitely something that needs to be done. Having said that, straws should not be given out unless specifically asked for in the mean time.
