    Black women have always worked in this country. That has never been enough to protect them. The jobs they're concentrated in are either hit hard by pandemic restrictions or are high exposure jobs that always underpaid. 1/2

    I like this headline bc the answer is a simple, yes. Next question! We’ve tried incrementalism & we’ve gotten - to Claudia’s point - a climate crisis, structural inequities by race and gender, and inequality that’s made us economically worse off. Go big or go home, as they say.

    Absolutely incredible: Census says poverty rate **fell** in 2020 ***during one of the worst labor market shocks in US history***, due to the combo of stimulus checks/federal relief that reached millions both in and outside the workforce. Reflects limits of jobs to reduce poverty.
