You're either Libertarian or Republican but in today's climate in the Republican Party, you are not both. You can be Libertarian leaning and have liberty minded ideas on some things, but you are not an L if you are part of the GOP. The GOP at it's core now is authoritarian. #GA14

I think they have libertarian leanings, absolutely. I like both. Particularly Rand. But the fact remains, they have run as Republicans. If you’re a Libertarian, run as one and further the Libertarian message. I could have blown out a primary as an R. I chose to run as an L.

Ok. 🤷🏽♀️ I am a Libertarian. Running as one for office naturally put me in the big L category.

Congratulations! You figured it out! Let's exclude more people and make the Libertarian party into a private social club instead of a political party and we can all tell each other how much better things would be if we were in charge all the while nothing changes.
GENIUS!

If that’s how you see it. Sure. I am not sure how saying the GOP is not Libertarian does that, but cool. Simping for a party that has highly skews Authoritarian these days most certainly doesn’t change things either. It just means they use you and you let them. 🤷🏽♀️

No. Authoritarianism is the EXACT opposite of Liberty. It's great when you're team is winning, but when they aren't.. I can't believe I have to say this, but Authoritarianism is BAD. Personal Choice and individual rights.. are not.

This is obviously wrong. Parties are made up of individuals. Some Republicans are libertarians.
Some libertarians chose a different political strategy than you. Even if you think they are wrong, that doesn't mean they aren't libertarians.
