I forget who told me on Twitter, but when I was pre-excusing Doug Jones possibly voting to acquit, one of you said there was NO DOUBT Jones would do the right thing, b/c he's done the right thing his whole life You were right. If Alabama can't respect that, they don't deserve him

Of course what he really meant is that he doesn't like people who are guided by their faith to do what is right. That is what is truly alien to him.

Two Senators who voted to acquit Trump for trying to coerce a foreign power to investigate his political rival are now undertaking to investigate the political rival for something that happened in 2013, after they didn't investigate him in 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 or 2019.

speaking at the National Prayer Breakfast is a president who believes that marriage is a sacred institution between a man and a woman and a another woman after that and then another woman after that and also a paid-off porn actress and some other women both willing and unwilling

my favorite Bible story is probably the one where Jesus shows up at the National Prayer Breakfast and gives a disjointed and rambling speech about how amazing he is and how he's going to wreak revenge on all his enemies

Scathing Op-Ed by Sen. Sherrod Brown: "In private, many of my colleagues agree that the president is reckless and unfit. They admit his lies. And they acknowledge what he did was wrong....They are afraid that Mr. Trump might give them a nickname."

Mitt Romney showed political courage today but the Senator who cast his votes from the desk once used by John F. Kennedy showed the most courage. Senator joins 10pm.

Genuinely moving to see that there is one Republican in Congress with some integrity left, even if it's only one.

Prediction: The next round of this scandal will involve the president seeking some kind of an investigation of Mitt Romney.

As the president's impeachment trial began, Republican senators pledged an oath to defend the Constitution. Today, 52 of them voted to betray that oath—and all of us. We’re entering dangerous territory for our democracy. It’ll take all of us working together to restore it.

Doug Jones displayed the kind of moral courage in the Senate today that he showed when he prosecuted the Birmingham bomber. He’s running against Jeff Sessions or Roy Moore. Please dig deep on this one. We’ve got to have his back.
