What did @jeffsessions so “effectively” accomplish?
Left’s run riot. Who’s paid any price?

"a wholesale assault on voting rights" "a 'deafening silence' ... on hate crimes" "[argued] that federal law ... does not prohibit bias based on sexual orientation" "directed prosecutors ... devote significant new effort to prosecuting any and all immigration-related offenses"

http://www.pfaw.org/report/report-card-on-one-year-of-jeff-sessions-as-attorney-general-an-insult-to-justice/ … He's not exactly my guy but he'd been working to reverse the left's quasi-lawmaking in the executive that criminalized the non criminal, and allowed actual criminals to get away without prosecution.

Is it possible to find someone strong on immigration but lenient on drug laws? Does that person exist?
-
What a bitter pill it is that we finally get someone willing to move towards immigration enforcement, but who also doubled down on civil forfeiture and marijuana. Sadly I do not expect his replacement to be a net improvement.

Spot on. Sessions knows the stakes, but I don’t think _internalized_ them. Only like ten percent of the population can internalize new ideas after the age of thirty. That being said, firing Sessions is a massive mistake. All the boomers cheering this will regret it later.
