There is one main argument against paedobaptism (infant baptism). And that is this: You don't have to do it. Nothing in Scripture mandates it, and there's not one example of it. Everyone must repent and be baptized. No one must baptize their children who have yet to repent.
They have at least as much of a right to the covenant as the Children of Israel had to circumcision. The NT is clear that children of believers are set apart and holy (1 Cor. 7:14). God didn't drop the ball on this for c.1500 years, guys.

John 1:12 But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God. Hmm...

Since you're all about the "1500 years" thing:https://contrast2.wordpress.com/2018/01/01/chrysostom-on-1-cor-714/ …

Psst, Chrysostom was a paedobaptist. As were the majority of the Church Fathers, with the possible exception of Tertullian (who provides church history with a discourse pro infant baptism in his De Anima 39).

I highly encourage you to read "The Fatal Flaw" by Jeff Johnson.

Many thanks for the reference, always looking to increase my library of heretical material. ;) (he joked)

What right did the daughters of Israel have to circumcision?
-
The expansion of the sign to 𝘣𝘰𝘵𝘩 baby boys and girls is not a problem; to exclude both would be.
-
The assumptions needed to protect this tradition is amazing. Again, suddenly exegesis changes when it comes to it.
-
A tradition which is held by everyone bar a handful of individuals up to the radical reformation. And again, as I note the Baptist, if held to the same, standard could not consistently baptize mentally impaired people.

To be clear, not all the children were circumcised. Circumcision did not mean one was a child of God or loved by Him. OT Circumcision in the flesh points not to baptism but to true circumcision of the heart: Romans 2.

Many presuppositions needed to explain the stuff you're sharing here. I would argue they're not presuppositions contained in the scriptures. I know you disagree.

Look at Judas. Circumcised? Yes! Ate Passover meal with Jesus? Yes! Yet dead in his sins and died not loved by God. Thus paedobaptism devalues the Covenant.

A true Jew like a true Christian is in covenant with God. Otherwise there is no promise of spiritual blessings simply for an outward sign. Having Sign does not equal being in the Covenant. Same with communion. No blessings for just eating bread and wine at the table.
