    In case anyone wanted my policy position on literacy....there it was. I care deeply about this work - if kids are unable to read proficiently, we close doors for them before they even have a chance to be who they dream of becoming. It’s urgent. It’s personal. It’s OUR work. (1/3)

    I think of my classmates and my former students who needed strong literacy instruction. I think of my colleagues who needed better materials & supports. Change is hard. Results are worth it. Let’s do what works for all kids, like so many already are!(2/3)

    Every parent’s child is the most important child. These are mine. They are no more deserving than anyone else’s. When I think of why this work matters, I think of my kids & the almost 1M others I serve as my own. Our job is to open doors for them. That starts with reading. (3/3)

    One of my favorite bills of all time! Thanks for your help in the Senate, . I think lowering the barriers to allow law-abiding citizens to protect themselves is ALWAYS a good idea!

    This impeachment is a political charade. Senator is right. The four Senate Dems seeking to replace should not be allowed to participate in this political effort to remove him from office.
