    Andrew Cregan, Payments Policy Adviser, is giving evidence at the Scottish Parliament's Economy, Energy and Fair Work Committee on Bank Closures. "We have seen some closures, there is also an issue of social justice" - We must ensure there is access to cash across the country!

    On the day everyone is talking about Uber, TfL confirms that the contract for controversial Silvertown Tunnel has been signed. Extremely disappointing news for people concerned about air quality and pollution in the capital.

    In other news, confirmed this morning that the £1bn PFI contract to build the Silvertown tunnel has been signed and work will start next year. It is due to open by 2025. The new tunnel will be tolled - as will Blackwall tunnel from that date.
