First big map in a long time - the first win of Illinois governor Jim Edgar against Attorney General Neil Hartigan. Of course, back then, downstate was more Democratic and Chicagoland was more Republican. To see this, look at DuPage and Gallatin counties. All red and all blue.

I congratulate the activists and advocates who worked relentlessly to collect the signatures needed to ensure this amendment made the ballot. I also encourage every Michigander to remember that you have an opportunity to vote for abortion rights up and down the ballot this year.

I had a great time knocking doors in Macomb Township today, sharing our commitment to keeping our waterways clean and protecting our environment for future generations in Macomb County. We owe it to our children to make Macomb County a great place to live.
