    Update to this story: Marcus has resigned from the board of the yeshiva where she had hosted a sex podcast since 2019. Her co-host was the yeshiva’s head of school.

    Shortly after Marcus published her essay, the Jewish Orthodox Feminist Alliance took a step its critics had pushed it to do for years: it released former employees from their NDAs. Facebook was soon filled with negative accounts of Marcus' behavior.

    Interesting to note that this museum is being financed independently by one couple and no Boston communal Jewish organization is involved.

    The board of Hebrew Union College meets today and tomorrow to decide the fate of the 147-year-old rabbinical program on its Cincinnati campus. Both sides of the debate say the vote will have massive consequence for the Reform movement. Read up on it here:

    Just one sign among many of how divided the Reform rabbinical community is over HUC.

    Among the many incredible details in this story: Charlie Cytron-Walker, the Colleyville rabbi, signed an open letter opposing HUC's proposal to scale back in Cincinnati. The rabbi his hostage-taker made him call, Angela Buchdahl, signed a different letter supporting the plan.

    A rally against the proposal is being planned in Cincinnati for tonight. And the list of names on the open letters (both for and against) keep growing. The vote is scheduled for Monday.
