Arrived at the Southeast Precinct. By my count, 7 cops are blocking the driveway. Chant of "No good cops in a racist system."

Three other cops along the property line. I'm standing near ACLU observers and a few of my colleagues.

Someone's passing out toy bees, likely a reference to Trump's "beehive of terrorists" remark (did he forget how "basket of deplorables" worked?).

Chants include "40% of cops / beat their wives."

One of the roof cops shined his light on me and waved. I didn't wave back.

Chants include "Fuck you, roof cop!" and "Defund police, fund schools!"

I can't see any identifying markers on these cops. One has a generic "Police" one that he is partially blocking with his right hand.

First LRAD announcement warns protesters not to cross the SE Precinct property line or they could be subject to arrest for trespassing. The announcement comes again as I type. Protesters boo the voice they've come to call DJ LRAD.

Despite no visible provocation, LRAD announces an unlawful gathering. Threats of arrest and force including crowd control munitions announced. Whole bunch of cops appear to be gearing up at the second driveway.

I for one am now on the sidewalk.

Cops came running out. We have shoved and marched to SE 41st & Oak. Saw multiple pushes to make arrests, and one flash bang.

This area is NOT well lit.

Earlier, as cops advanced, a red station wagon - looking car nearly ran over protesters, curving south on SE 47th St back on E Burnside. Hard to tell if she was mad or really desperate to avoid cops.

I saw cops get on the sidewalk behind protesters. I couldn't tell if they shoved anyone. Definitely saw them do it in the streets.

Saw in my @'s there was sidewalk shoving by cops.

Chants of "wake up, wake up / wake up motherfucker wake up" and "get off your couch / we're in a police state" as we pass a residential stretch.

Cops were waiting on a north residential stretch. Had to turn around quickly. A female cop grabbed my arm, I yelled press and she let go. At one point I was full running. We are in residential, underlit areas with cracked roads.

The crowd has decided they're too small to stand ground against two vans of riot cops. They don't intend to go back to the Southeast Precinct and are deciding the next steps.
