Throughout Australia’s devastating bushfire season, one MP has not let the country forget the raw, emotional loss many people are feeling.

The State & Federal Governments are picking up the bill for the bushfire clean-up. Laing O’Rourke has been given the contract & will work with local contractors to get the job done. Please make sure you contact Service NSW on 13 77 88 to have your property cleaned.

  9. It’s been amazing to see the goodwill of people both here and abroad in donating millions towards the bushfire recovery effort. But the money needs to start reaching our people and communities who need it most - not sitting in bank accounts.

Nice to catch up with locals from Quaama, Brogo and Verona at the Quaama Memorial Park who’ve been affected by the bush fires. Premier and Local MP also confirmed $90K to rebuild the local children’s playground. Thanks again all for the catch up.

Premier , Local MP , Comm Baxter & I caught up with crews from the Bemboka & Candelo at Bemboka Station. Remarkable effort by all. Too often the case, members also lost homes & property. Thanks again all & of course, thanks for the Bemboka Pie.

I’ve never heard a senior government minister as raw, as unguarded, as speaking with me this morning on about the gargantuan task of piecing lives back together, including his own. My heart’s with him, with them all.

  19. Fantastic to see the Kings Highway reopen this afternoon. A big thank you to crews who’ve worked tirelessly to remove around 1,200 hazardous trees, and repair 43 damaged guardrails and 500 cats eye reflector lights - ensuring the road can safely reopen.
