Kaepernick last played in 2016, but for some of you that's been too long.
Tim Tebow last played in 2012 but "he's going to work hard."
Ok.

Sure... One is directly tied to age of a player and their athleticism, while the other is the most "skill dependent" position.

Kap was benched for horrible play period. He had a chance was offered by 3 teams and he turned them down. He isn't coming back to play TE smh. Racebaitor

That first year Kaep wasn't going to be in the league. Black balled or not, people don't like touching burning fires, especially when its coming off a bad season.

But my greater point is the irony that many of the same people who ridicule Kaep's comeback and say he's missed too much time, seem to defend Tebow's absence.

Let’s not forget he had a lineup of 25 teams ready to watch him and he demanded a change in venue right before the start, 60 miles away. This dude doesn’t want back in the NFL, he wants the publicity. espn.com/nfl/story/_/id

They're both talented in their own way. Kaepernick brings a bunch of unnecessary drama to the field.

I don't disagree, but that's not the point of my tweet. It's the hypocrisy of the same people defending Tebow's absence use it against Kaep.
