Use numeric citations but do one of two things: 1) use hyperlink so clicking the citation jumps to the reference and the reference has a “backward link” that jumps to where the citation is (CVPR template does this); 1/2

2) use floating text in PDF so that hovering the citation shows a popup box with the full reference. I know both work only on computers not on printed papers — so this would discourage printing papers and good environment. 2/2

If there is one moral that I can give after being one of the world's experts in voting methods since 2006, it is this. Avoid ranked voting methods. Instead use cardinal voting methods. See the book gaming the vote by William poundstone.

Minor suggestion: for future polls consider using approval voting instead of ranked choice. See: https://www.electionscience.org/library/approval-voting/ … The reason why is that approval voting is simpler to implement and for voters to reason about and performs better in both theory and practice compared to RCV
